The installation prograu used by "SHAREWARE TRACKER" was written by Lincoln
Beach Software and is called FIRST IMPRESSION. Lincoln Beach Software
reserves all copyright protection worldwide. Fof further information, they
may be reached at P.O. BOX 1554, BALLWIN, MO 63022 or 314-227-2431. The
author, Harold Holmes, may also be reached on CompuServe at 70700,630.
All of the users of "Shareware Tracker" are experienced. However,
other programs I've written are sometimes used by beginners.
Using "First Impression" to install the programs for them has
eliminated many support calls. It's simple, straight-forward
design walks the beginner through the install with no problems.
And for the author, it's easy to learn. I had a customized
installation procedure for one of my programs in about a
half an hour after loading FI.
I use and highly recommend "First Impression".

DR. FILE FINDER'S GUIDE TO SHAREWARE
This book, written by 'Shareware Magazine' editor Michael Callahan and Nick
Anis, put shareware on the books-in-print map in 1990. It is the most
intensive overview of the state of the industry.
This 'Guide' defines shareware and places it in the larger scheme of
software, with interviews with several founders of the shareware concept.
The bulk of the book focuses on shareware products, category by category,
including personal favorites of the author. It also has an appendix of
several thousand BBSs.
If this book isn't in your library, your collection of shareware books
isn't complete.
Ask for "Dr. File Finder's Guide to Shareware" at your favorite bookstore.
